My Education and Career
My best friend from High School and I at the UGA/LSU game in 2009.
I went to Tattnall Square Academy in Macon, GA and graduated with High Honors in 1998. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 2002 with a Bachelors in Business Administration in Marketing with a Minor in Accounting, I moved to Savannah. My first job in Savannah was as a manager of an antique store downtown called One Fish, Two Fish. I then worked for VeriSign, Inc., a computer software and internet security company. While working at VeriSign, I decided that I needed a change!
I went back to school and received my Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2008. After my first few years of teaching, I realized that I LOVED my new job as a teacher!!! I taught 4th Grade at Pooler Elementary for 2 years, before they moved me to 5th grade, where I taught for 3 years. I was then moved to teach 4th Grade Math for one year, then 4th grade all subjects the next year! I then taught 2nd grade for a year and Pre-K for 2. This is my first year in 3rd and I'm excited about this new opportunity!!! I have also completed my Math Endorsement and my Gifted Endorsement.

A few of my favorite things!
Food: I would have to say Japanese! It doesn't matter if it is hibachi grill or sushi! I LOVE it! My other favorite is cheese dip at Jalapenos!!!
Books: I have a ton of favorites, as I love to read. Anything by Karen Kingsbury or Nicholas Sparks are among the favorites. Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson; the Twilight series, the Harry Potter series, and the Hunger Games series; Bridge to Terabithia; wow, there are too many to name!
Movies: Again, very hard! I like the Harry Potter, Twilight, and Hunger Games series, but love pretty much all romantic comedies. Steel Magnolias, Pretty Woman, Grease, and Sixteen Candles are all great as well!
TV Shows: Big Bang Theory!!! Gilmore Girls!!! Grey's Anatomy!!! Criminal Minds, Ghost Whisperer, 48 Hours, Dateline . . . are you sensing a theme? Friends reruns are also awesome!
Place I would LOVE to visit: Italy . . . maybe one day!
Favorite place I have ever been: Greece
Season: Spring and Early Summer in GA . . . yes I LOVE the heat! :) But I also love Fall in Michigan.
